Brewery Timer - version: 1.015 (Updated 12/19/2011)
BreweryTimer is a simple windows application to help you keep track of time-sensitive tasks during the brewing process. Brew on time!
Key Features:
Configure up to 5 timers (ex. water heating, mash schedule, sparge, etc)
- Boil Timer with activity alarms.
- Boil Activity Alarms- add unlimited activity alarms so you know when to take action during the boil. For example, you can add alarms for all your hop additions or add an
alarm to remind yourself to clean your fermenter or prepare the
whirlflock.
- Import boil additions and boil duration from your recipe. Supports the following popular brewing applications and formats: Beer Tools, BeerXML, ProMash.
- Ability to save timer templates so that you only have to configure your timers, boil settings, and common boil alarms once.
For example: Say you always use 3 timers (Hot Liquor, Mash, Sparge), you boil for 1 hr 30 min, and you add whirlflock at 15 min. Simply configure everything and save the settings as your default template (you can also save as many other templates as you like). Once your default template is saved, every time you start the BreweryTimer application, all your settings will be loaded and ready to go (or you can load a non-default template).
- Calculators: Brix to S.G., Hydro Temp Adjustment, Wort Dilution
- Customize the alarm sound via a WAV file of your choice.

You can configure up to 5 timers with custom titles and types (image below). BrewTimer also allows you to save templates so that you don't need to set-up your timers every time you brew.

Installation Instructions:
- Simply create a folder on your computer and un-zip the contents into the folder.

- It's safe! - used by many homebrewers around the world. Think of all the great beer BreweryTimer has helped brew!!

Help:
- Screen Saver Warning:
Many laptops default to a very aggressive power-saving configuration
when running on battery power. Make sure that your screen saver's
power settings do not put the computer to sleep. This will stop all timers and alarms.
- Timer Settings: you can configure up to 5 timers. The "Count-Down" timers include an alarm sound when the time has expired. The "Count-Up" timers are simple stop-watch style timers.
- Templates: once you configure your timers, boil duration, and common boil alarms, you can save the settings as a template. To make it your default template, simple choose the "Save Default Template" option from the 'Settings' menu. Every time you start BreweryTimer, this template will be loaded. You can also choose to save other templates and load them as needed or re-load the default template.
- Boil Alarms: you can configure any number of boil alarms. For example, an alarm for each hop addition.
- To add a custom alarm sound, replace the alarm.wav file located in the same directory as the exe with a file of your choice (just make sure it's named alarm.wav).

Development:
Big thanks to the other brew timers out there. I've used several over the years and gleaned many ideas from them. I decided to program my own since I tend to do things a little differently.
If you find a bug, please email me so that I can fix it (email address in 'About' screen).
